I know. I know. I’m here one day, gone the next and my three fans (two now if not just one) ask the question, “Where did he go?” Well, I didn’t go anywhere really. I did and I didn’t. Confusing, I know. Let me share and explain.
There have been some changes in my life on the back end the last couple of months. As you may have guessed, I don’t write fiction to put food on the table and pay the bills…yet. Therefore, I have been working at my 9-to-5 vigorously. Then, a change. A job shift. A major one. One that will allow me the freedom to write and earn some duckets and do both rather well. For me, this is potentially a life-changer. I enter this chapter of my life with a little bit of trepidation and excitement. I’ve been waiting for something like this for a while. Now it’s been given to me. What that means in a nutshell is more writing. Much more. You’ll have to decide if that’s a good or a bad thing but regardless, I’ll be writing more.
You may have noticed a few things different in the look of the website. That’s because in the interim during my hiatus, I haven’t been completely out of it. I finally made the move I was talking about earlier. I’m officially full on in WordPress. Ran into a little bit of a snag during the process but my webhost guys helped me straighten it out and now I’m golden. I’ll be doing some small updates to the site here and there as I get it back in tip top shape.
There will be some changes to the content of the site as well as I look to redefine the purpose of this site and how to implement that the best way through the posts that I write. Quite honestly, I want this to be a place to connect to my potential fans. That’s what I want to spend a good amount of time doing. The shift in the content of the site will be gradual. No, I won’t totally ignore the previous kinds of articles that I used to write. They just won’t be coming as frequent.
Time management is key when you are working a 9-to-5 and have all these ideas in your head that you want to put down on paper (there’s a post in that). More time to write means that I have to do the right kind of writing. Though I love to post here on my site about a proliferation of topics, the fact of the matter is that time is limited, I’m long-winded, and I can’t write as much about the things I want as frequently as I would desire at this juncture. In the future, God willing, yes. At the moment, we’ll see what we can get out when we can get it out.
So I am back. God help us.
