The Coming of Blackson

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that sometimes I’m easily distracted. Sometimes I’m doing some things that should be doing in should really put my nose to the grindstone to get some stuff done that I know I should be. And it’s not that these things are not important but that needs to be a certain priority that I have to give things. That’s why I actually wrote out my priority list in terms of my self-publishing business just today to keep myself grounded. Life of an indie publisher needs to be very disciplined if it’s going to be successful at all.

This is not to say that I am just fooling around all the time. That’s not it. It’s keeping the main thing the main thing. Is asking the question of is this going to help me to build my business and how will it help me build my business and is this the most effective thing that will help me build my business. The last month I have been heavily focused on promoting the RIU and getting people to sign up as RIU Citizens. I can tell you that has been very successful because my citizenship registration has quadrupled. However, some of the other things have suffered a little bit and it’s time to put things back into balance.

That’s why you going to be getting more updates on Blackson’s Revenge. We’re getting down to the wire and I can say for sure that Blackson’s Revenge will be finished this month. You can look for a release of black sons revenge coming in about two weeks. It’s about to get crazy up in here once again. But there are people who have been excited about this and now that The Dark Corner miniseries is completed, I can focus on an idea that has been in my head since around 2006. You see, quite a while ago I posted about a video game called City of Heroes. That game was the inspiration for 11 of my planned novels. The Poltergeist Files came from a character that I had created in that game. Now, over 10 years later, we are seeing the birth of that character’s story. So you can imagine that I’m pretty excited about this.

In the interim, I have released a survey asking people to vote on which cover they like for Blackson’s Revenge. It’s the place where I’m probably going to have everybody go and vote for future book covers as well. More than likely, I will eventually just make this in RIU Citizen exclusive but for the time being, everyone gets to have their voice heard. So, if you could be so kind as to take this quick survey which will probably take you less than 15 seconds to complete, I will greatly appreciate your input on this. Here’s the link:

And as we speak, I’m already working on the second cover for book 2 in the series.

Also, if you’d like to be on the Advance Reader Team where you’ll get a copy of the book for free to analyze all of its quirks and mistakes before it is released and get your name in the acknowledgments of the book, you can go ahead and click the link below:

And we’ve also updated the RIU Codex which is something that was put out just recently to give a definition to all those fancy terms that we use here in the RIU. You can go and take a look at those here:

Well, that is it, for now, my friends. Until next time, see you in The Tapestry!
