I am often involved in some interesting exchanges on Facebook. I belong to a couple different writers groups there and I try to help out as best I can if I have something constructive or helpful to say in response to writers and their questions. But a few weeks ago, a a topic was posted that really got the home fires burning. People came down on one side of the other and it was a powder keg topic. Some writers run away from those kind of topics because they don’t want to be involved in any kind of conflict whatsoever. I think that living in a dream world and that you sometimes just have to draw a line in the sand and give an opinion one way or another. This was one of those times and this is exactly what I did in reference to profanity and vulgar story elements in novels and having a rating system.

Book Review: Smallville-Strange Visitors
Today I’m going to give my two bits about a book that I had mentioned that I was reading which has finally been finished. Writing book reviews is one of my secret joys and ¢ writing them a moan website I have a lot of freedom when it comes to the information that I want to include within the book review. Sometimes a like to give some very detailed insights into books but that’s mostly for nonfiction. When it comes to fiction, I tend to be a little bit more general which is what I’ve done here with this review. But even so, my hope is that it gives you enough information to where you can make it a decision whether or not you want to go and pick this book up.
Time For Change
Change. It can be beautiful. It can be ugly. It can be wonderful. It can be tragic. The journey to change many times is a difficult one but within the difficulty there is a beauty that once we reach the destination makes it all worth it. This is currently the journey that I’m on. Many things are changing here at RIU headquarters. As in most things in life, everything hasn’t worked out exactly as I would like to but that’s okay. I’m learning a lot and persevering. However, the change continues. There’s one more change that is going to happen here that I want to share with you.
The Reveal of Gotham’s Solomon Grundy
Because of the genre of material that I write, I’m often talking about things besides the writing projects that I’m working on. You will find a lot of posts about film, television, books, video games, and all things related to the things that I write which would be supernatural, superheroic, action-adventure and fantasy. That’s why today I’m going to be talking about a big reveal on Gotham which I saw coming during season three but that is because, of course, I am a superhero nerd. Well, what I knew was coming finally arrived.
Coming Soon: The Gift
There’s so much going on that is getting hard to breathe let alone keep you updated on everything in a timely manner. There are three more releases that are scheduled in the next two weeks as well as other ideas that are in the works as well. But I wanted to give an update on the next release because that releases a little different from the rest of the other releases. The next story in the five-part series of The Dark Corner is about to come out of the oven. I just wanted to talk a little bit about it and what is different about it to give my 3 1/2 fans a heads up.
