The Visitor Has Arrived

I have now finished the short story The Visitor. To be honest, it’s been done for a few days now where it’s been uploaded and listed at Amazon and Smashwords. However, I’ve been working out the kinks in the ebook formatting department before I decided officially announce its release. What I learned from that experience is priceless and I will be sharing my experience in a post soon. Suffice it to say that I believe that if you care about your book (and you should if you’re a writer, it’s imperative that the inside and outside of your books, whether physical or digital copies, look professional. Of course, they should be well written but again, that’s a subject for another post.

This is the first story in a series of short stories I call The Dark Corner. The Visitor is psychological mystery/suspense. It comes in two flavors, the Lionhead Edition and the Black Door Edition (see the pictures). Nothing is different about them except their covers so choose the one you prefer. While you are at it, leave a brief comment to let me know why you chose on over the other. Eventually, there will be only one cover. In addition, there are several formats you can download them in: MOBI (for Kindle), EPUB (for Nook, Apple iBooks, and Kobo), and PDF (for just about every computer on the planet). Just click on the Short Stories link above to get your copy at the download page

Others that are a part of the series will be a mix of fantasy and the supernatural. The names of the stories will be The Basement, The Gift, You Have the Wrong Man, and The Forest, which will be next in the series. As I have mentioned before, they are all free.

What’s odd about all this is that these kind of stories are not indicative of the genres of my novels (the vast majority of them at least) which fall more into the category of action-adventure, sci-fi, and fantasy. However, there’s a story to tell in each of these and I simply need to tell them.

At any rate, I hope you enjoy them.

God bless.
