I started reading this book for a couple reasons. One was because I was taking a break from my prolific reading of superhero prose novels (count ’em. I have 113 of those novels alone and counting). Second was that I was gearing up to play a fantasy RPG with some friends as we try to work out our busy schedules to play once a month. I wanted to get into the mindset and had enjoyed the other two books in this series. Well, the third one didn’t disappoint.
Nowadays, having a website for just about any endeavor to engage people is a must. But many people have no idea what they want their website to do or the specific purpose of their website. Writers are included in that. This got me to thinking which always gets me to writing about it.
I was first exposed to the works of Terry Brooks last year. I have never been a big fantasy reader but things change over the years. At this site, you’ll find two reviews of some long works by fantasy writers. One of the is Terry Brook’s First King of Shannara (which is a weird title since Shannara is not a place but a person. I enjoyed it so much, I delved into the next book of the series. Here are my thoughts.
