Progress. This is something that you work for as an indie published writer. Progress going in the right direction. Progress that brings tangible results. This is what has been happening to me as of late and I’m a little excited about the direction where things are going so I wanted to let you guys in on where I am in my progress. There’s gott abe at least a couple people that are interested. Anyone? Anyone? Bueller? Bueller?
It’s day one of National Novel Writing Month and there are many authors around the world gearing up for writing their first novel or writing their 10th novel. Is always a fun time it’s a great time of encouragement. To kick off my first month of ever being in this event, I have released the exclusive RIU Citizen story in The Dark Corner series titled The Gift.
There was a time where if it was found out that you collected comic books that you were weird, consuming all of that fiction nonsense. It was O.K. for kids but for adults, that was a no, no. We had to fit that grown up mold and be interested in only things that grown ups should be interested in, whatever that means.
My, how things have changed.
Today, being into all things superhero is the new cool. It has experienced a new renaissance. The comics never left but now we have more movies, television programs, and prose novels than probably any other time since superheroes have been around. It is arguably rivaling the popularity back during World War II. It is good to be a superhero nerd and it’s the best time to be a superhero nerd and a writer at the same time.
Sometimes, God’s providential hand turns things in a direction that you don’t intend and by the time you look up, it has catapulted you into the future. I say that for hiatus from posting here for a few months. Here it is I was lightly scolding others for going eight months without a posting. No, I haven’t been that egregious yet so I can still wave that flag. But the fact that I have gone have that time isn’t saying much in my favor. So, time to get back up on the horse and let my two fans (I’m sure I’ve lost one by now) know what’s going on at R.I.U. Central.
