Back In the Saddle Again

Sometimes, God’s providential hand turns things in a direction that you don’t intend and by the time you look up, it has catapulted you into the future. I say that for hiatus from posting here for a few months. Here it is I was lightly scolding others for going eight months without a posting. No, I haven’t been that egregious yet so I can still wave that flag. But the fact that I have gone have that time isn’t saying much in my favor. So, time to get back up on the horse and let my two fans (I’m sure I’ve lost one by now) know what’s going on at R.I.U. Central.

City of Heroes: The MMO That Started It All

In 2004, I experienced my very first MMORPG. I was waiting with bated breath for it to be released and got it on the first day that it came out. I bought the strategy guide and spent countless hours on that game. That game had a profound impact on my writing and still does today.

My Book Cover Journey: Part III – The Business

It’s generally understood that the three top things that sells a book are the price, the description, and the book cover. That’s just part of the business and it’s a part that we have to deal with business-like. Review – The Sword of Shannara

I was first exposed to the works of Terry Brooks last year. I have never been a big fantasy reader but things change over the years. At this site, you’ll find two reviews of some long works by fantasy writers. One of the is Terry Brook’s First King of Shannara (which is a weird title since Shannara is not a place but a person. I enjoyed it so much, I delved into the next book of the series. Here are my thoughts.

In The Oven – The Sword of Shannara

Because I always want to keep my creative juices flowing, I’ve delved into another tome of fiction, this time walking in the realm of fantasy with a classic series.

Review – The Hobbit

The prelude to the Lord of the Rings saga, The Hobbit, is a refreshing, enjoyable journey where you catch glimpses of Middle-Earth and watch the groth and maturation of a hobbit named Bilbo Baggins. Here is my overall review of this classic fantasy tale.
