Well, I know it’s been a couple weeks since I last posted which puts me behind on my weekly schedule but there is a very good reason for that. The month of September for my family is crazy. Let me give you an idea what I’m talking about.
September for my family has the following: me and my wife’s 20th anniversary, my wife’s birthday, my best friend’s birthday, my grandson’s birthday, my stepdad’s birthday, and to top it off, my birthday. Needless to say, I was running around like a chicken with its head cut off not only writing but celebrating these occasions. So please forgive me for my lack of posting. Couldn’t be helped.
Even though I haven’t been posting on my once a weekly schedule, it doesn’t mean that I haven’t been busy. As y’all may know, I have been working diligently to complete The Dark Corner series and that was accomplished on top of at least two short stories and work on a second novel. The next book in The Dark Corner series is released today. That is The Forest. This is the second volume of this book and has been re-edited and updated. New sections has been added and it is longer than it was before. This thing is so fresh off the presses that by the time you read this it just may not be up entirely as it is going through the process of being listed on all the major online distributors. Just give it a few and it should be updated sometime today or tmorrow.
The month of October is going to be an extremely busy month as is the month of November and December. October will see the release of the rest of The Dark Corner series with one small caveat. The third book in the series, The Gift. I have decided that the third book in the series will not be released to online distributors. The only way you’re going to be able to get that is by being an RIU Citizen. You’ll be able to get the rest of the series — The Basement and The Confrontation — but you’re going to be missing a book. That’s never fun. So, to make sure that you’re not stuck in the lurch, sign up today to be an RIU Citizen. Then you won’t have to worry about it.
October is also going to be the month where I begin a detailed outline of the first novel in The Poltergeist Files trilogy titled Blackson’s Revenge. This has been a long time coming and I’m very excited to get to work on this because it is the beginning of a line of novels that I have been burning to write for over a decade. In addition, I will began to flesh out and complete the outline for a short novel which I will work on in November.
The month of November, I will be participating in the National Novel Writing Month. The project that I plan on completing is the rough draft of the novel featuring the enigmatic characters that continue to pop up in The Dark Corner series, especially in the last two books of that series where they take center stage. If you want to know what I’m talking about, then make sure that you are a part of the RIU citizenship.
The month of December will be the month where I release a novel and at least one short story. The tentative release for Blackson’s Revenge is late January, early February. And just to think that that is a very small portion of the ideas that I have been given to develop and write as novels. I told you in a former post how many that was which is why I’m really excited to get to work and see them come to light.
Today however, The Forest is what I want to put up centerstage. When it becomes available, it will be $.99. However, once again, if you want to get it for free then you need to be a part of the RIU Citizenship. Just go ahead and click the link below:
And don’t forget to leave a review if you like it. That stuff is bread-and-butter for us writers.
Well thanks folks for reading my rant. It’s off to do more work.
See you in The Tapestry.
